Ashdale house support people with complex needs due to mild to severe Learning Disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The Home promotes the service users’ independence and daily living skills through high-quality care and activities. Service users attend local colleges for their preferred courses and also participate in lots of local clubs where they maintain and develop friendships and other relationships.
Ashdale House is a Registered Home situated in a quiet residential street five minutes’ walk from the seafront and offers support to adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. The home is suitable for both men and women. Nearby amenities include shops, a cinema, Local theatres, churches, a swimming pool, a railway station, buses and taxis, and several parks. Two vehicles are available for service users to use; generally, the Home’s 5-seated car for small group activities and a minibus that has been adapted with specific service users in mind for more individual use. All service users are encouraged to make full use of the communal living areas and there is a large garden at the rear of the property.
