The Ashchurch is a registered residential home for people with Learning Disabilities, with 10 beds, we are currently full. All of our residents are lovely people receive support from our friendly kind staff team, we would love you to join the team.
We are looking to hire committed and compassionate staff to join our friendly, professional team, whether you have experience or not:
Staff, with NVQ 2 and experience welcomed, however, if you are looking to make a positive impact on the people’s lives that live with us but have no experience within the care industry, we still want to hear from you to give you the opportunity to join us as full training is provided. We will offer NVQ upon passing of probation.
A band 3 staff, will have already completed their NVQ 3 and be competent to administer medication and be able to evidence a good annual appraisal from their previous employment will undertake specific leadership tasks on shift.
Staff and the people that live with us have received their COVID vaccines and boosters, all applicants vaccinated will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Our staff, support adults with learning disabilities in a care home environment, including supporting with daily living skill development, personal care, community-based activities, and working with some behaviours which may present as challenging.
- Our clients require care 24/7 therefore weekend work is required but a shared responsibility to give you some free weekend time, this ensures our clients always receive the support that they need. Shift patterns are 12 hours per day 36 hours per week contract. We can offer part-time contracts with the opportunity of an enhanced rate over time although this is not mandatory.
