Ashlong House Domiciliary Care is looking for a competent Night Support Worker to support physically or mentally challenged customers in their everyday lives. The fulfilment and satisfaction that comes with helping others surpasses the challenges of this job.

Most of our Service Users live in one placement in their own rooms/flats, this means no travelling.

This position is for a Band 1 Support Worker - previous experience is not essential, full training provided.

Responsibilities of Domiciliary Support Workers

  • Our Support Workers support adults with learning disability & mental health conditions in their own homes
  • Helping with skills development
  • Medication in compliance with local guidelines
  • Assisting with Shopping and Activities
  • Attending medical appointments

Main Duties of Domiciliary Support Workers

  • To Support/Care for a set number of Service Users in their own homes.
  • To record information in documents and service user's files on a daily basis.
  • To prepare meals and drinks as required and serve meals.
  • Assist with Personal Care
  • Provide Emotional Support
  • Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
  • To commit to follow a training programme in accordance with the National Requirements, and accept responsibility for your professional development
